The purpose of this proposal is to request funding to support distinctive recruitment efforts by the undergraduate and graduate programs within Kinesiology programs that will connect with the underrepresented populations and ultimately result in enrollment of a diverse student body within Kinesiology. The Kinesiology programs will accomplish this objective with 2 action plans: 1. Convene a panel discussion event where successful Kinesiology alumni of underrepresented backgrounds interact with Charlotte regional schools that are comprised of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students. 2. Develop marketing tools that that target and connect with underrepresented groups and are displayed on the main Kinesiology page
