International Student Orientation Volunteering

This initiative refers to the recruitment, training, and subsequent interactions of International Student Orientation volunteers with newly arrived international students. Many elements of ISO week, from in-person led events like airport pick-up to document check sessions, are performed or augmented by continuing student volunteers, who may themselves be international students or U.S. domestic students. The ISO volunteer participation fosters exchange and cross-cultural friendship from the moment a new international student arrives to campus.
