Grants, Projects, Events, Collaborated with Professor Pulugurtha Srinivas and received a grant from the North Carolina State Department of Transportation that begins summer of 2022. The title is: “Equity in Long Range Transportation Planning.” ($180K). Specifically we look at how to incorporate social equity and diversity in the transportation planning process across the state of North Carolina. Dr. Leland has another similar proposal under review. Member. Racial and Social Justice working group. CLAS. I am in my second year participating in the graduate education subgroup. Meets once a month. Collaborating with Alaina Maines to write a book chapter “Diverse student recruitment and success at the graduate level. Kendra Jason’s edited book by CLAS. (This is not done yet--so probably should not put it on yet). Recruited at the fall Black Doctoral Network virtual career fair, October 14th, 2021. Department chair coordinated collaborative recruitment sponsorship with the School of Data Science. Attended seminar “The Importance of Culturally Responsive and Anti-Racist Strategies in the Classroom” Racial and Social Justice Spring Workshop 2022. Member, Academic Women in Public Administration.
