Serve on the Patient Advisory Board of Elizabeth Family Medicine (Atrium Health), a largely Medicaid & low-income primary care practice;
Authored a white paper questioning the wisdom and ethics of a large-scale clinical trial run by Duke Medical School that involved giving healthy, non-statin-needing patients statins for 5 years to see if statins could provide protection against Alzheimer’s.

2022: Member, Patient and Caregiver Advisory Committee for PECORI Grant Application by the University of Pennsylvania Medical School to CMS, DHHS, December 2020 & January 2022 (grant to investigate the best way to deliver pain relief to chronically ill & disabled individuals, many of whom are elderly & at end-of-life)
