Visibility and Inclusion

As the Honors College has become more diverse, we found that much of our visual culture remained white-dominated. Recruiting brochures, website, social media accounts, annual newsletters, speakers, course offerings, published student profiles, etc, all lagged behind the demographic profile of honors students, which approximates that of the undergraduate student body on campus. We mandated a 30% minimum diversity goal for all of the above. It provides a useful checkpoint for all honors staff/faculty on any given work product.
