The Office of Diversity and Inclusion offers education and development opportunities to support Niner Nation to strengthen their understanding and appreciation of diversity, equity and inclusion and its importance as a guiding commitment here at UNC Charlotte.  We aim to provide participants with the tools to support learning, understanding, and relationship-building within and beyond UNC Charlotte's boundaries. To do so, we provide access to educational content and engagement activities for individuals at different levels. All are welcome and encouraged to get involved. We've compiled some commonly asked questions to provide more information about courses offered and requesting diversity education. If you have a question to which you can't find the answer, please contact us at dei-office@charlotte.edu.

GENERAL

Foundational learning pathways are selected thematic courses that constitutes a fundamental understanding of a particular subject. There are seven foundational pathways and some courses can account for progress in more than one foundational pathway. A badge will be earned upon completion. Click here for a list of all the awarded badge types and associated requirements. 
To suit the needs of our learners, diversity education courses are offered asynchronously through online learning or in person.
Yes. We provide diversity education to organizations outside of UNC Charlotte for a fee.
For UNC Charlotte employees? No.

For organizations outside of UNC Charlotte? Yes.

Registration for online and in-person courses is required through UNC Charlotte Cornerstone LMS.

DIVERSITY EDUCATION COURSES AND CORNERSTONE LMS PORTAL 

All courses are voluntary except those that are associated with state and federal compliance (Title IX, Equal Employment Opportunity & Diversity Fundamentals, etc.)

Most in person courses are 90 minutes in length with the exception to SAGE and online learning in the Cornerstone LMS system which varies.
