The Distinguished Scholar Series provides a unique opportunity to showcase innovative research and scholarly activities related to diversity, equity and inclusion in society. Each semester, we invite three speakers to participate in a hybrid presentation of information that begins as a "TedTalk" and will conclude with an expanded moderated dialogue on their ideas, commentary and reflections on their research and its reflected intersections in our daily lives. Invited scholars will range from local UNC Charlotte scholars (faculty and staff) to regional and nationally recognized individuals. All events are open and free to the public.

Accommodations Statement: UNC Charlotte is committed to having an accessible campus for individuals with disabilities.  To request accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), individuals should complete a request form , email the request to accessibility.charlotte.edu, or contact the Office of Disability Services at 704‑687‑0040 (tty/v).  Requests should be made at least 7 business days prior to the event.
