What is inclusive excellence at UNC Charlotte? 

Inclusive excellence at UNC Charlotte is our customized approach for integrating the University’s collective diversity, equity and inclusion efforts throughout the tapestry of our institution. This campus-wide strategy is a shared responsibility that reflects the comprehensive and flexible structure needed to foster intentional efforts and continuous improvement across all areas of the University’s functioning. 


Does inclusive excellence focus only on racial diversity at UNC Charlotte?

Inclusive Excellence is not limited to racial diversity. Our efforts encompass a wide range of experiences, voices, and perspectives that constitute our Niner Nation community.


Who is responsible for inclusive excellence at UNC Charlotte?

 While the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is responsible for advancing the strategy alongside selected college and divisional unit leaders, ultimately, everyone is responsible. We all have a role in honoring UNC Charlotte's Guiding Commitments so that we can be our very best. 


How can I get involved? 

You can start by attending one of the provided information sessions or workshops. If you are a faculty or staff member, reach out to your assigned IELC representative on ways to contribute. Lastly, do not hesitate to contact us directly.
