RASE Fall Forum

November 17, 2021
Theme: Houseless Close to Home: Stories from Our Own Backyard The UNC Charlotte School of Social Work Race and Social Equity (RASE) Academy Fall Forum is hosted in collaboration with the Atkins Library. The purpose of this forum is to address racial and social equity issues as it relates to being unhoused. Attendees will hear directly from an alum who experienced being houseless as a student, barriers faced and endured, and tentative solutions. A panel discussion will feature local leaders who will share innovative strategies to eliminate the number of people being unhoused. Ultimately, attendees will be equipped with information and knowledge about how to advocate and support this population.
